Here's another shot of the rear of the truck before I got the frame cleaned up and primed.
One thing I did learn from this project, if nothing else, I do hate undercoating. |
And this is the engine bay, less the 2.0. The exhaust system bolts were too rusted to remove, so I left the exhaust manifold there until I could get the whole system off. It all went to the scrap yard with the engine itself after it had given up a couple more parts. |

machine shop. |
 | The 116,000 mile engine block. The only difference between this and the 2.3 that was originally installed in the Rangers (which itself differed only in bore from the 2.0 I pulled out) is the oil drain line fitting on the passenger side of the block (and can't be seen in this shot). |
